Description

Keeping a tank clean is easier when the tool does the heavy lifting. This electric gravel vacuum runs on a low-voltage 5V USB supply and does two jobs. In filter mode, it pulls fish waste and leftover food out of the gravel, traps it in a filter chamber, and sends clean water straight back into the tank. In drain mode, it pumps water out through the hose for a partial or full water change. It starts pumping in shallow water too, so it works in betta tanks, desktop tanks and turtle tanks that most gravel vacuums can’t handle.

Key features

Two working modes
Filter mode traps dirt in the waste collector’s filter cotton and returns clean water to the tank, so you can clean between water changes. For drain mode, remove the filter parts, connect the 4.9 ft (1.5 m) drain hose and pump water out.

Works in shallow water
The motor only needs shallow water to start, and once it’s running it can drain almost all the water in the tank. That makes it a good fit for betta tanks, nano tanks and turtle tanks.

Brushless motor, strong flow
The compact brushless motor runs cool enough for long sessions and moves up to 800 L/h (about 211 gal/h), with a maximum lift of 6.6 ft (2 m).

Reaches every corner
A rotating duckbill nozzle gets into corners and tight gaps along the glass. The gravel cup stirs up the substrate to lift out buried waste.

Adjustable length
Three 8.3 in (21 cm) extension tubes let you set the length to suit small desktop tanks, planted tanks and larger floor aquariums.

Tool-free assembly
The ABS plastic parts snap together by hand, and three cable clips keep the 6.6 ft power cord tidy. An inline switch turns it on and off.

How to use

  1. Assemble the tubes and choose filter mode or drain mode.
  2. Fully submerge the motor before switching it on. Never run it dry.
  3. Once water is flowing steadily, move the nozzle or gravel cup around the tank.
  4. After each use, rinse the filter cotton and gravel cup, empty the tubes and store everything dry.

FAQs

Is a power adapter included?
No. Use a standard 5V 2A USB wall adapter. Don’t use a fast charger, as it can damage the motor.

Does it work in a small or betta tank?
Yes. The motor starts in shallow water, so it works in betta tanks, nano tanks and turtle tanks.

Can I clean the gravel without changing the water?
Yes. In filter mode, dirt is trapped in the filter cotton and clean water flows back into the tank.

Can it drain the whole tank?
Once it’s running, it can pump out almost all the water. Switch to drain mode and attach the hose.

Does the motor go in the water?
Yes. The motor runs on low-voltage 5V DC and is designed to be fully underwater while it works. Always submerge it before switching it on.
