Description

The floor of each nest is angled slightly, so once a hen lays, the egg rolls forward and settles under a covered lid, out of reach. That keeps eggs clean, protects them from getting cracked or pecked, and makes collection quick: just lift the lid and take them. It’s worth adding a little padding under the lid to cushion the eggs as they roll.

Ventilation holes along the sides keep air moving so your hens stay comfortable and relaxed, which helps them settle in to lay. When it needs cleaning, a rinse with the garden hose does the job. The screws line up with pre-drilled holes and the instructions are straightforward, so an adult can put it together in about 20 minutes.
